In an effort to keep him out of the limelight, Fox is said to be offering Carlson a staggering $20 million per year to remain unemployed.
Information obtained by Axios indicates that Carlson is actively laying the groundwork for his own media dynasty. However, he first needs Fox to release him from his contract, which is set to expire in January 2025, after the presidential election.
Sources claim that Carlson has received offers from other organizations, such as right-wing platforms Rumble and Newsmax, who are willing to pay him more than his current Fox contract. Axios also uncovered that Carlson had a discussion with Elon Musk about a possible collaboration, although по specifics were mentioned. Moreover, Carlson is contemplating the creation of a direct-to-consumer media outlet, drawing inspiration from the business model established by his predecessor at Fox, Bill O’Reilly.
